Visiting Professor-Researcher at the Pacific Studies Department of the University Center of Social Sciences and Humanities of the University of Guadalajara. Bachelor in International Relations by El Colegio de México. Master and PhD in Economic Development by Sophia University, in Tokyo, Japan. He also received a PhD in Social Sciences by El Colegio de Michoacán. Consul General of Mexico in Osaka, Japan (1993-96) and Secretary of International Affairs of the Mexico City Government (2006-10), with publications about Japan’s history and culture. Correspondent and article writer of Mexican Journals. He has been lecturer in institutions like the University of Philippines, Mexico’s Naval School of Superior Studies, and the Matías Romero Institute of Diplomatic Studies (IMRED), among others. Deals with topics such as Asia Pacific geopolitics, and Japan’s economic development, foreign policy, history and thought.
